How good is the 2016 Buick Encore’s infotainment system? Also, at the back, the HR-V offers the best legroom, beating the others by a significant margin of comfort. However, the Japanese duo offers slightly better legroom upfront. Other than that, the Encore seems to do really well in terms of interior build and appointments but struggles for a better passenger room.Īll the crossovers in the competition here though can seat 5 people, which is not a surprise but the Buick and the Chevy offer the most space on the inside, surprisingly. Thankfully, the headroom-eating multi-zone AC and a sunroof or moonroof are not standard on the base trim. Overall, the rear cabin is good for short journeys but tall people might find it a little difficult during long ones. The rear seats are also adorned in leather which offers a comfortable ride and bolstering is almost absent. But the three seats at the back offer good shoulder room and three people can somewhat fit for a short journey. The rear seat offers a bit less legroom, which can be congested for tall passengers. Overall, the front cabin is a pretty nice place to be in. The passenger’s seat can recline but is not power-operated. The seating position of the seats and the adjustability of the steering wheel offers a pretty tall and commanding driving position. Spacing is also not a concern, since the Encore offers plenty of space inside for passengers. The driver seat is power operated, even in the base trim, and you also get a heated steering wheel at higher trims. Even the bolstering is done wisely to keep you in place during hard cornering. The front seats are adorned in leather and the seats offer a pretty comfy ride. The passenger’s side is rather clean and houses the glove box. The center console sticks out in the middle but below it is a cluttered mess of a host of buttons and dials. The driver’s side has the steering slightly off to the right since the leftmost has some dials and storage area. Constructed of hard plastic at the top and with a beautiful wood trim sandwiched between the top and bottom parts, the Encore has a rather cluttered dash. The dashboard is rather small in width when you first look at it. ![]()
